EMAX CF2812 Outrunner Brushless Motor

The EMAX CF2812 is a 1.4 ounce, 1600 KV, direct drive outrunner brushless motor that works well on small, high speed parkflyers, and on models that require the use of a small prop (such as pusher models). It will produce about 22 ounces of thrust using a 3 cell Lipo batteryand a 7 inch prop.

The CF2812 will provide excellent speed. Here is a setup that you might consider for a small jet or flying wing:

20A ESC, 11.1v 1000 20C or 11.1v 1300 20C Lipo battery, APC 6x5.5E prop. This setup provides about 15 oz of thrust and a pitch speed of 75 mph.

If you would like to upgrade to brushless power on your Easy Star or Wing Dragon, consider this setup:

20A ESC, 11.1v 1300 20C or 11.1v 1650 20C Lipo Battery, EMP 6x3 prop. This setup provides about 18 ounces of thrust, which is a nice improvement over the stock power systems on these models.

MOUNTING OPTIONS: A firewall mount is included, and an Aluminum Stick Mount (for models with 11mm sticks) is available in our store. Always check the tightness of all motor set screws and motor mount screws when installing motors. The set screws require a 1.5mm Allen wrench. The picture below is for reference only. NO STICK MOUNT IS INCLUDED.

To mount a prop, you will need a 3mm Prop Adapter, or 3mm Prop Saver.

Recommended props when using 3 cell Lipo batteries:

The GWS EP7035 produces 20 ounces of thrust at 11.5 amps.

The GWS 7035 x 3 blade produces 22 ounces of thrust at 13 amps. Nice for scale looks.

The APC 7x4SF produces 23 ounces of thrust at 17 amps. Use with caution

The GWS 6030 x 3 blade produces 15.5 ounces of thrust at 9.5 amps. Nice for scale looks.

The EMP 6x3E produces 18 ounces of thrust at 11 amps.

The APC 6x5.5E produces 15.5 ounces of thrust at 13.5 amps. Pitch speed is 75 mph.

The APC 5.1x4.5E produces 13 ounces of thrust at 11 amps.

Recommended props when using 2 cell Lipo batteries:

The GWS EP9050 prop produces about 20 ounces of thrust at 15 amps.

The GWS EP8040 prop produces about 16 ounces of thrust at 10.5 amps.

The above data is a result of our own testing using fully charged Lipo batteries.
